Yes! We did it! And we helped others do it too, by setting a precedence in Hawkes Bay.
Previously you needed a completed premises before applying for a liquor license. This would mean that you may make a massive investment yet have the license denied.
We successfully obtained our on-license with a waiver being granted with regards to the premises. The issue of the liquor license was then dependent upon the building works being signed off by the council.
So the first commercial safari tent accepted (that’s another story) by the council in Hastings will open to the public January 2017! WooHoo! This will complement our happy yellow caravan nicely.
With this our opening hours will increase to Wed to Sun 11am to 10pm. So come down and check it all out!
We will be offering a range of seasonal craft beers and wood fired, brew-grain pizza’s and other food and drink options.
We look forward to providing these options in the best Hawkes Bay “Kiwiana” craft beer location and will also be offering up music from local musicians on selected weekends and special food days, e.g. spit roasts, etc. Be sure to check out our Facebook for what we will be doing.
